We hadn’t planned on going to Scotland but we changed our plans when WestJet started flying to Glasgow and we could get one-way flights for $400 per person. For those that know me, I am a bit of a planner (okay a huge planner), that uses spreadsheets that map out everything. When we saw this opportunity, Tom looked at me and he could see the angst on my face. He said “Okay, I know that Scotland isn’t on the spreadsheet and not in the plans but this is a really good deal.” That was how Scotland was added to the list.
I know that this change is one of many to come and I know that I need to roll with the punches. It was just this first one that caught me off guard.
There were also a few destinations that we had planned to go but removed from our itinerary for safety reasons. These are Egypt, Jordan, and Turkey. I guess that will need to be another trip. Ukraine is still up in the air. We haven’t ruled that one out. Yet!!
